The year 2011 features many up-and-coming NHL prospects that aspire to join the league within the year. Although many players exhibit the skills and talent to succeed in the NHL, three players currently place at the top of this list. Sean Couturier

Playing center for the Drummondville Voltigeurs, Sean Couturier continues to excel in every aspect of hockey. Weighing 191 pounds, Sean has scored 12 points throughout the past nine games. His ability to score consistently puts him above other NHL prospects. Prospective players are sure to find Sean Couturier difficult to surpass.

Adam Larsson

Ranking a close second to Sean Couturier, Adam Larsson plays as a defender for Skelleftea in Sweden. While only 17 years old, Adam Larsson continues to shock recruiters with his impressive, mature playing ability. He provides a strong defense while simultaneously providing assists for scoring. The Swedish defender remains a potential candidate for the NHL.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins

Although ranked behind both Sean Couturier and Adam Larsson, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins portrays the abilities that one often sees in a dedicated NHL player. Playing center for the Red Deer Rebels, his size needs improvement, but his skating abilities remain superior to that of other candidates. Also, his ability to score places him above other players.

The top NHL prospects for 2011 continue to excite and amaze, but three in particular stand out above all the rest.
